Teaching, on the other hand, is her passion. The author has described writing as simply something that she does. However, even with her success, Suzanne still loves teaching. In fact, despite all the books she has already published, Suzanne will be the first to boast about all the other manuscripts that are either complete and unpublished or in development and waiting to be sold. The decision clearly paid off because life is going very well for the author though, it is interesting to note that Suzanne now lives in Portland, Oregon where the rain has a tendency to persist. Being less than half the size of most of his works, the story necessarily has a more narrow focus, but Prador Moon has the usual multiple characters and converging storylines, and he maintains his high ratio of punch per x number of words. I wondered how he would handle a shorter novel, and of course, he handles it very well. He has this habit of making me keep on reading until I finish or am forced to stop, possibly by a chorus of horns from behind me, alerting me that the light has turned green. ![]() ![]() Although his books are usually over 500 pages, Asher’s novels are always very fast reads for me. When I received Asher’s latest in my mailbox, my first thought was that it looked a little thin. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think once she gets past the pictures, she'll have no problem with the text, there's nothing she hasn't really encountered in one for more another in her reading or TV watching over the last 9 years.and since we frequently watch shows about urban legends and ghosts, I doubt much here will shock or upset her. ![]() I'm glad to be done with the series and while Girl isn't ready for these yet (she's basing not wanting to read it on the pictures alone), I'll happily check them out for her (or buy a boxed set) when the time comes (and I'm sure it will). The Harold is a Scary Story from Scary Stories 3: More Tales to Chill your Bones. The pictures remain the most disturbing aspect of the book.the rest makes a fine initiation for young readers into creepy, scary, spine-tingling urban legends, tales of terror, ect.
